Get Restorative!
Restorative practices include strategies to help foster positive relationships, build community and give youth voice. Restorative practices (RP) builds social capital and achieves social discipline through participatory learning and decision-making. RP repairs harm when relationships have been damaged and can reduce violence and bullying.
Our 2-Day Introduction to Restorative Practices & Circles provides attendees the opportunity to engage in the theoretical foundations of restorative practices and prepares them to implement both proactive and reactive strategies in the classroom and school. Anyone working in a school building or school district (classroom teachers, administrators, behavioral interventionists, social workers, etc.) can enroll.
For those trying to build systems capacity, we offer a 3-Day Train-the-Trainer, which provides participants the professional skills necessary to train others in restorative practices, using the curriculum and materials of our 2-day introductory training. Participants engage in learning facilitation strategies and frameworks with a specific focus on planning and delivery of an active, participatory workshop in Restorative Practices. Participants must complete the 2-day Introductory training prior to the TOT.
